Going To Construction 2012!

Mid Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group, Littlebrook Creek Fish Passage Improvements - Phase 1: This project will allow fish passage into Littlebrook Creek at its confluence with the North Fork of Thornton Creek by removing under-sized perched CMP culverts and replacing it with an over-sized "stream-simulation" culvert. Additional improvements will be made to allow passage over several minor localized fish barriers along approximately 200 feet of Littlebrook Creek upstream of the culvert. This is Phase 1 of a multi-phased plan on Littlebrook Creek which eliminates fish passage barriers, thereby creating access to high-quality upstream habitat.

Recent Project Awards

Kitsap County, Clear Creek Floodplain Restoration: 35 acre project site w/ 6 acres of wetland delineation. The design will include the removal of a 1/2 mile of access road to restore flood and stream channel function, and enhance fish habitat.

SPU, Thornton Creek Confluence: Floodplain restoration and culvert replacement on major Seattle arterial roadway located at the confluence of north and south forks of Thornton Creek next to Nathan Hale HS. The design will focus on fish passage enhancement, floodplain function, and to reduce flooding risk for roadway and neighbors.
